Industry-leading science-based targets and net-zero roadmap for Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling

Breitling was the first in its industry to have a net-zero target validated by the SBTi. I supported the watchmaker in setting its science-based targets and building a detailed roadmap to 2050, with every lever quantified and tested for feasibility, from gold sourcing to energy use in boutiques.
Extreme weather could disrupt the supply of Breitling's most critical materials, from gold to lab-grown diamonds. I assessed climate risks across the watchmaker's operations, boutiques and key suppliers, quantified their financial impact under two climate scenarios, and developed the TCFD section of its 2024 Sustainability Mission Report.

Industry-leading state of nature assessment for Breitling, using TNFD principles

Gold mining depends heavily on water, which makes water stewardship essential for Breitling. I mapped the watchmaker's dependencies and impacts on nature across its value chain and identified priority locations, helping Breitling become the first in its industry to commit to the TNFD and publish its first results.
